They said it would happen. I prayed that it wouldn't be so.........but it was. SNOW!!!!! It started in the afternoon and it is still coming down now ( 8:42p ). It was my first time.....driving in snow and ice. Not fun when one is driving a Ford Focus without snow tires. What a piece of crap car.
I have to park in an outdoor parking lot for employees. When I got to my car it was covered with a blanket of white glistening, freshly fallen snow. CRAP! how do I get this off my car. WITH MY HANDS. " Excuse me, would you like to borrow my brush" WELL YEs!!! I mean oohhh thank you so much ( batting my eyes ) So I start my car, get it all wiped down and i'm off. No i'm not because I can't make it up the hill. My car keeps sliding down and sliding. I was surprisingly calm. I just inched my way up slowly until I reached the top. I'm now on the main road and driving 5 mph. I drove that way all the way to the motel/hotel. I slid a couple of times, but I just kept my cool and didn't over correct my steering or slam on the breaks. I mean why would I? I was driving so slow. I don't think I would really mind driving in snow and ice, if it wasn't for the lack of snow tires and the fact that the Focus has no weight to it. It's like a little paper car. I don't think i'm going to take any chances tomorrow. I will take a cab to work and bum a ride back. I think i'm gonna' call the car people and ask for a different car. Wish me luck!!!
