1. Amazing Grace Firming Body Emulsion by Philosophy. I have Super sized this item. Love the way it smells and I swear it does firm your skin.

2. Sigma Buffing Brush. I take this with me everywhere I go. I need another one for my car. It's great for buffing your makeup all though the day. I don't put anything on it, I just buff what is there already. LOVE IT!

3. Insulated Cup from STARBUCKS. Great cup. keeps your cold stuff cold and it doesn't sweat. I use it for iced tea and the best iced coffee with caramel.

4.Loreal Colour Riche #809 Aishwarya's Beige. You know when you have that color lip product that you can put on without looking in a mirror cuz it looks good everytime? This is that color for me. The color is just like the little label. I have to try and find it and buy several backups.

JULIE & JULIA

Totally loved this movie. I can't wait to own it. I thought that the secondary story about julie was an annoyance. I really wasn't interested in her story. It could have been all Julia Child and I would have been over the moon. She had such a passionate story that still remains untold. The movie eluded to certain aspects of her life, but could not cover everything because that was not the main story line., and it would have taken hours. Hopefully there will be other movies about her life in the future. Meryl Streep is genius......again. She does a brilliant job as JC. OMG!!!!

Omg! there is such a huge difference between nails done at home and having them done by a pro. I was kind of in a rush with these because I wanted to try these colors. I love them. I need a pedicure for sure. Look at these ashy feet!!! Ha Ha

My Hero

So, we have had a RAT runnin' around our house for months!!! The damn thing was inside the walls and the rat people said they couldn't really do anything to catch (kill) it until it came in the house. OMG!!!! So it took a while but while it tried to find it's way in, it ate through my dishwasher ( Have to buy a new one. It ate through the  ceiling lightfixture in the kitchen and finally was getting into the house. So off we went to the garden center to get something to kill this thing. First we bought a  trap that was suppose to shock it and trap it and flash a light when it caught something, You simply pick up the covered trap and empty it. That sounded good, you  would never have to see the thing. Just "set it and forget it"........but the rat never went in there. We tried for a couple of days with no luck. We need to bring out the big guns, the splatter trap. I was not going anywhere near that thing, but my son said he would take care of it!!! SHOCKER I did not think my choir boy had it in him. He said wanted to protect me.

So Tuesday night we set the trap in the kitchen and went to bed. Next morning the bait (Bread, our rat liked bread) was gone and the trap was still set. I told Aidan that was good because he ( it was a male rat, i just know it ) would come back the next night and not suspect a thing. Last night we try again and have an even bigger piece of bread on the trap. Around 1am I heard the trap SNAP!!! I was going to get Aidan, but decided to just deal with it in the morning. It was killing me cuz' I really wanted to know if the little booger was caught. Next morning I waited for A to get up and practically tackled him. "I heard it snap" He like.....OK i'll go check........Yep we got it. I promptly locked myself in my room. He then calls for me to HOLD THE GARBAGE BAG!! he must be trippin'

Here is the dilemma, trash day was yesterday. We would have a dead rat in the garage for a week .....nuff said. We got to get rid of this thing, see. So we put the trash bag in a box, ride around town lookin' for a place that had their trash cans out for pick up.

Quick, get the box!!!

Hurry lets amscrayyyy!!! Don't worry this is not a random rat drop. I know who lives here and I let them know what was going on. So the whole ordeal left Aidan exhausted.

Kinda' I will be transferring this to muslin so that I can quilt it. I have never done this before sooooo, we will see how that goes. I love it. It is a hybrid piece. I started and ended with the computer. I painted it and used paper and ink and glue and stuff in between.

Tiger Tales

 

So, Tiger Woods missed the cut at the British Open and follows it up with a win the following week. He's soooooooooooo saaaaweet!

 

I got this dvd from creating keepsakes that spotlights Renee Pearson. I have had it for a while but just got around to looking at it recently. I Love Her! If you are a scrapper and into digi scrappin' you have heard of her before. I have heard of her but haven't really paid much attention, kwim. She really has a lot to offer in terms of her understanding of photoshop. I am self taught on cs2 and have learned things the hard way, but I kind of enjoy that anyway. I get Photoshop user and have gone to the forums by Scott Kelby ( fun !) If you want a basic intro to photoshop, digiscrappin', design and such.....check her out! So on this dvd she shared a little tidbit about how to convert a photo into a sort of colored pencil effect.

No Tiger Woods : (

 

If I can't have Tiger, I guess I will play with my photos. Yes, I did do my laundry earlier. So now i'm all set to play. I have been taking an online class about digital manipulation using Photoshop. I never got the concept of clipping masks. The class also has some info on different sites that offer textures. I have seen photos recently that have these really great textures to them and was so curious as to how that is achieved. If  you google textures you can find a bunch for free. I have some, but didn't know how to use them. The secret is in the blending mode, Duh!. Just change the blending modes and play with the opacity. I made this story board using clipping masks. Who knew it was so easy. I have certainly done this before, but it was so hard lining everything up. This was a snap!

Tiger Woods MC!

Tiger, say it ain't so. I was all set for a golfing weekend and Tiger Woods is heading home. NOOOOoooo!!! His first round was a horror and the second was even worse. Oh well, you can't  win them all. I still love you Tiger. There is one more major, right? I do believe. I guess i'll have to do my laundry instead.
